Default Any recent table saw purchases?

Hello,

I'm planing the layout for my expanded shop and contacted Grizzly for info on their contractor and hybrid saws. In any event, they were quite helpful but told me that their units have been on back-order for several months and they don't expect new stock until September 2010. Has any other forum members had similar experiences with other suppliers such as Jet or Steel city?

Just curious,

TTG

I was told that Grizzly didn't make the hybrid saw any longer. I purchased the Delta Hybrid and am very pleased. It replaced a 35 yo Craftsman Contractor saw. Pleased to see it go.

I shall probably replace my craftsman ts next year. More than likely, I will get the Saw Stop contractor saw w/ 36" fence....it is expensive, but I think it is a quality saw, with a safety feature that my wife wants me to have.....

It looks good and the price is ok too. I called them before making my purchase and they told me that they discontinued their hybrid, but she didn't know why. She said they had no plans to replace it that she knew. This was early spring, this year. Oh well, I am happy with my saw. Good luck with your selection.

I bought the hybrid saw form Grizzly before they stopped making it G0478 I believe they discontinued it was their is no riving knife and I think all ts sold in the U.S. now are required to have one.. I looked at the specks of the new grizzly hybrid saw and are basically the same as mine,I'm couldn't be more pleased with my saw its one of the best tools in my shop and I plan on more purchases form Grizzly this Christmas

I have a Ryobi BT3000 saw Mine is about 10 years old, but it is the best saw that I have ever used. But, it makes a difference what type of sawing You are planning to do. I think that the Bt300 is about the best saw, for the money , if You are doing the cutting that requires accurate cutting, and not the heavy sawing type jobs. I love the sliding miter table. It has stayed very accurate over the years. and I have done a lot of remodeling with it. The saw is out of production, but the replacement is the B3100. However, You can still pick them ut at Craigslist. I guess that you either love the saw, or You hate the saw. ? Just thought I would share My thoughts

I just bought the successor, the Craftsman 21829. I love it.
