Last time I went to use it said your 30 day free trial is up please buy the pro version. So I removed it from my Pc and installed the viewer so I could view . I had the latest version I think 18 does that sound right.

Most of my stuff is small enough to draw to scale on a page of the 1/4" graph paper. Then I just trim it out, glue in on my plywood, rough cut that, then fine tune it. Works like a champ.

On the rare occasion I want to really enlarge something, I lay it out on the 1/4" graph paper. Then lay out a graph on my plywood, to whatever scale, and copy the 1/4" lines onto the large scale graph. Turned a 2"or3" tall design up to one about 46" tall that way, and it was dead on. Or, you can lay out a 1/4" graph on a photo, and enlarge that the same way. Or, at least I can, not so sure about you. Hehehe

When you first download Sketchup, there is a 30 day trial of the Pro version. When that is up, the program reverts to the free version.

Keep plugging away. I am loving it. Drawing kitchen cabinets that fit to the 1/64th inch is fairly difficult to do with a pencil and graph paper...and be able to rotate them and look inside, underneath, from the top or the back side.
I love sketchup, but I'm having a problem with performance. It just seems to stop and start at will whilst using it. Anyone else with this problem. I've read somewhere it's something to do with an automatic Windows 10 update over which we have no control!!!!

JOAT, I don't even draw to scale- I just figure out the dim's and draw. I did do some drafting in the mid 60s while working for two appliance manufacturers. I worked for a cabinet and lighting gallery for 2-1/2 years. They had a nice program for laying out cabinets. Can't remember what it was, though.

Mike your telling me you do not have pro version? Hard to believe you would need plug in's to show appliances. I was just getting ready to change stagiest by just draw components with dimensions. I could do
that with the program.

Gary, I searched the 3D Warehouse and downloaded the appliances directly into my project.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

With a fresh install, you get 30 days of having the Pro features enabled, then if you want to keep them, you have to buy the pro version. If you don't buy the pro version, it reverts to the free Make version, which is all most of us need.

I don't recall ever getting a license agreement after the Pro Trial expired, it just simply started reverted to the Make version. The License agreement from the initial install probably covers you already.
