Hey Reds, this happens when the wood passes one roller and is cut by the cutter. Once the wood reaches the second roller, it evens out. The same thing happens on the outfeed end. Some say to feed the board in at an angle, but this has never helped me. I just give the board a little lift as it goes into the roller, and as it comes out of the second roller. It takes a little practice and still leaves a little "step", but a light hit with the sander and you're good to go. I'm sure some of the veterans will have some ideas, but I don't know of any way to totally eliminate this problem.
