There is a company Thermaworks, that sells top of the line cooking thermometers and timers. They range from home quality to professional. On their site it says not to buy their stuff from Amazon or ebay as they may be fakes and they will not honor the warranty. They have great service but you sure don't want to get stuck with a busted 100 buck thermometer.
