I recall that these folks made a real hit here a few years ago with several positive reviews of their products. Someone talked about their cherrypicking of standard products to find the ones that were best, then they changed the cutters. If you need one of these tools, this could be a nice deal to discuss with Santa.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.

I bought the Cutech 8" jointer with carbide inserts. I gave it very positive reviews at the time and now after having used it for a couple of years, I still stand by that very positive review. It's a very nice machine! My only issue is the dust collection. I don't have a vac system so the discharge chute fills up fairly quickly so I have to periodically shut the machine down and manually clear the discharge. It's obvious when the discharge fills up because chips start flying out the blade opening. I see this as more my problem for not having a vac system than a problem of the machine. This thing will put out some chips!
