They are impact driver bits. They are available in many lengths. My longest one is about 8 inches. If you use a regular bit on an impact driver, the tip will be destroyed pretty fast, and the shaft could break. I generally buy the DeWalt brand, but several other makers produce them as well. Very handy for reaching into the odd, tight space. You can get them in star, Phillips, and square tips. The square tips are especially useful for installing pocket screws on inside corners.
