Default Making of a trinket box from recently milled Jacaranda

Here is a straightforward little project made from donated Jacaranda that I recently milled and presented a photo shoot on. The lid isn't as I intended which was to have a pattern of inlay but the day after cutting the wood ready to start, I found that the piece for the lid had twisted slightly so I came up with the idea shown.

Default Part two of Jacaranda trinket box

For the finish I applied five coats of wipe on poly applied with a piece of lint free rag. After producing the photo shoot, I realised that I hadn't fitted the catch and so the final shot was taken in the evening with flash.

Looks good Harry, I like your fix you not only took out the twist but added a nice accent touch great write up too. Job well done.

That lid stands out even more now, very nice.

By the way, what size font do you use for your instructions?

Looks great! Thanks for all the pictures, it really helps somebody like myself who's still trying to learn the ropes. It seems like every thread I see on here with pictures teaches me something new, and most non-picture posts leave me scratching my head
