Default Bessey edge clamps - is someone using them?

While browsing an online shop I noticed these "Bessey edge clamps" (look just at the photos, if you can't read Italian! )
They seem cool, and I see it would be really easy to make them with a scrap of iron and a bolt or a piece of all-thread.
I'd go for the double clamp type, because it seems more balanced.
However, before I waste my time drilling, tapping, etc., I prefer to know the opinion of someone who is using this type of clamps.
Are they worthy?
TIA!

Hi Marco

Bessey stuff is OK. It is made in Germany.

I visited the site and thought I'd found a bargain ! Squadre combinate Starrett for Eur38. Unfortunately the picture showed the full combination square but further probing revealed that Eur38 only bought you a basic 6" square.

I couldn't work out whereabouts in Italy they were. They look quite useful and I'm only 60km from Trieste, if they have a branch there.

Cheers

Peter

They are in Padova, so you are closer than me: I'm 460 km from Padova... but just 80 from Montecarlo

Bessey clamps are my brand of choice. The best prices I've found so far on them are at Bauhaus.

No, problem, Bill!
I have a friend in Denmark who often visit Italy, so I can use her as "free shipping".
