Default Latest Acquisitions

My friends Steve and Bill and I met with a fella closing out most of his woodworking tools, a profitable time it would seem. I picked up the following items:

Pic 1 DeWalt 733 planer for 100.00. (I plan to clean it up and put it on Craig's list for 250.00.) and a DeWalt 682 plate joiner for 40.00, I plan to keep this one and sell my very old Porta Cable. Next is a Shop Fox mortising machine

Pic 2 with 40.00 worth of bits both for 100.00. Needs a good cleaning, I plan to keep this one also.

Pics 3-6 Steve and I split the 100.00 (50.00 each) to get his left over wood, this included some very common stuff along with 26bf of "birds eye maple", 70bf of walnut and "whatever" of popular, aromatic cedar, oak, mahogany and some stuff I didn't recognize. It was a good day’s activity over all.

Steve somehow finds these deals, I told him to think of me when he hears about them.

Well that's how my day went yesterday.

Great find Jerry. Does Steve ever come to Ohio?

Hi Jerry

Great find, the tools are great but the supply of wood is even better.

Hope today goes as great as yesterday.

Nice Haul Jerry, I have that same mortising machine, I bought it at a yard sale, tried it out once to see if it worked and it's been sitting on the shelf ever since. Guess I gotta come up with project to use it on.

Now what ya gonna make with the wood?

I will probably use it in the fall when I build an entertainmrnt center for my house. I know that my friend Bill will be using it for a build of his own.

Nice, Jerry. In the past, I bought My tools, or some of them. I don't see them around like I used to. Then, I don't get away from home but about once, or twice a month. That doesn't include Church, but it does cover going to the Doc. I guess that I need to get out more! I envy You, and your find.
