Default Grizzly vs...

allo

I am in Canada & looking for a 20" planeur.

"Googling", I Found Grizzly. Even with tranport it is way cheeper than others cie.

My question: In general, as far as Quality is concern, Grizzly would compaire to what?
General inter, Powermatic, Shopfox, Delta, other????

That for your time

grizzly and shop fox often look a lot alike, probably a close comparison.

I've got a few pieces of grizzly equipment, and I've been happy with them.

I have a Grizzly jointer and planer and I like them both. Although I don't have firsthand knowledge, (i.e. I don't have other brands to compare them to), I do believe that the quality of Grizzly products is comparable to both Shop Fox and Powermatic, and possibly to Delta as well.

In the U.S., Grizzly has 3 huge warehouses. I need some replacement parts for my planer and I had them in a week. When I found that one of the parts I ordered was the wrong one (my fault), there was no problem sending it back and getting the right one (I only paid for return shipping - new part cost was the same).
