Question Lumberyard wood sizing

I've recently been informed that lumber yards are now going to a smaller sized board. I believe they are shaving it down by another 1/8 inch or so. Has anyone else noticed this or heard this yet?

If it's true, that's bad news for re-sawers. But, that's 1/8" less of planing I'll have to do. Seriously, bad news for everybody paying more and getting less. I'm still getting 13/16" from Hogan's Hardwood here in Little Rock.

I miss the days to where a 2X4 was just that, a 2X4.

Haven't heard about this before - have an in-law that owns a lumber yard (unfortunately, he's 10hrs away!) - I'll have to check with him - Let's see ... less lumber for the buck, higher gas prices - what's the Man gonna do next, jack around medicare prescription drug benifits?!
