Default Butcher Block Finish

What do you finish a butcher block with that would be safe for food.

Chris,
I have always used mineral oil.
You can pick it up at any drug store.
You will need to give it several coats and reapply it periodically.

mineral oil, does not go ransid like vegatable oils
