Found this on Google on my first attempt. They have reprints of the manual that you need for $17.50. Unless you can find someone who has one this looks like the best source for it.

made a quick reply about 15m ago - but it does not show up here - i don't do these things hardly ever so maybe i got it lost
anyway - i have done a lot of checking - don't buy one unless you know for sure that it is YOUR 34-440......they used the model number as near as i can tell at least from '70 thru '02....and there are a lot revisions over those years.....hve found several different manuals online - none of them are mine exactly
here is the last one i found
well - just found why i was unable to help you - the site doesn't allow links until you place 10 posts - Sorry Pal - i was trying to help save someone else the Damn time that i spent already...
understand the reason for their policy - but i don't agree with it. I was ready to close my file on the thing 30 minutes ago but thought, hey someone else is lookiing the same thing and i am pretty close to understanding something about Rockwell's model #'s - so, sorry - you won't get what i learned and i probably won't be back here again - i don't have time to fritter away like this
