Default edge band clamping technique

Making a project that needed a lot of edge banding and I don't have edge banding clamps and only have 3 long clamps that reach to the other side.
Hmmmm, what to do.

Came up with this idea. Pretty sure someone must have done it before.
Just used my normal small bar clamps and then use double wedges between the bar and the edge banding. Worked a treat.

Cheers guys.
Hey James, I'll race you to the finish line on this project if you're stilling doing your chest of drawers.

Sorry, Gavin.

The chest of drawers is on the back burner until after I retire at end of April and take our trip to US in May/June.

I seem to have a fear of making the drawers which is holding me back......

One of those woodworking milestones, I guess.

I chickened out and bough Maree a chest of drawers from a work mate, who was moving, to keep peace on the homefront....
