Default questions about the GO555 Bandsaw by Grizzsly

I'm wondering if abybody out there has had any experience with the Grizzly GO555
14" band saw. Also, how about Grizzly's service these days on their products?

The price for the saw is very attractive, but it makes me wonder in that you usually get what you pay for and I'm wondering if a more expensive Delta or Jet would be a better consideration. Comments Please.

Hi Jerry,
I have the Polar Bear version of this saw. I have found this to be a very good saw. My only real complaint is the guide bearings can be a little noisy at times. The rule for included table saw blades holds true for the included band saw blade. Don't even bother with the one that is included. Put a good blade on the saw, and you will have a good saw.

As an FYI, I put on a 1/4" 6TPI Timberwolf blade, and I have done a lot with it, including a little bit of resawing. Everything so far I have thrown at this band saw, it has handled without issue.

Jerry,

I've had mine for years, it does a great job. I've had to deal with Grizzly Industrial Customer Service with an industrial milling machine, they do a very good job addressing issues.

I also have the Polar Bear version of this saw and I'm very pleased with it. I have had both the Jet and Delta saws in the past, and I can honestly say that except for a big price difference, there isn't much difference at all. With some of the money you can save with the Grizzly, buy yourself a couple of good blades.
