Default New circular saw..

Well, before starting making some cabinets this weekend, I went out and purchased a new circular saw and blade. After some research, I got the Porter Cable PC15TCSM. My old trusted Black and Decker just had to much play in the bearings. Going to keep it for rough cutting. Also bought a new Diablo 60 tooth finish blade on the new PC.

Should be ready to go!

Thanks Jim and Warren. Can't wait to get started. Though I might get started tonight, but one of my wifes Aunts are very sick. May be making a trip across the lake to visit with her in the hospital.

Niiice! Hope the wife's Aunt gets well soon. I'm over here in Mandeville myself. Not the hospital, though. More like the loony bin!

Doc

LOL Doc, and thanks! It's funny, my Mom (rest her soul..) and Grandmother and Aunts, all use to say to us kids, when we were bad (or driving them crazy), "Y'all driving me to Mandeville." It wasn't till I was much older, before I realized that Mandeville was actually a city, and not just the name of a loony bin across the big lake! ;o)

And Curt, YES IT IS! (new tool).

Hi Lee,

Congrats on the new saw. I have that same model and have enjoyed it very much. Best wishes on your wife's Aunts health.

Nothing wrong with new tools at any time.......

Keep us posted on the cabinets.

I trust the health of your wife's Aunt is on the improve.

Thanks Guys, for the comments and concern of Aunt-in-law. My wife just came back from seeing her, and she is doing much better. They found the cause of her illness, stomach ulcers bleeding badly inside her. Already after one day of treating this, she is feeling and looking much better. THANKS for the thoughts and prayers.

Back to the saw. OMG, I can't believe the difference a new saw, a GOOD saw and a GOOD blade makes. This saw runs SO sweet. I had to check to see if it was actually spinning and cutting. And I can stop blaming myself for my crooked cuts, even with a guide. It was all my old Black and Decker's fault. But hey, that old B&D cut some wood, let me tell ya!! But good night, this new saw is AWESOME!! After cutting my panels for the cabinets, all it took was a few passes of my sanding block, and my panels looked forged instead of cut with a circular saw!! And STRAIGHT!! I am so thrilled, and can't wait to SAW some more!
