One of my sons is in heating and air, the other was in refrigeration. Which meant a lot of the work is where no power is available, so they were left with no choice but cordless tools. Their tools of choice are by DeWalt, as well as their friends in the same lines of work.
Me, personally I don't see using cordless tools in my shop. I don't have to charge batteries, I don't have to buy replacement batteries, etc., etc. All I have to do is pick up a tool, plug it in, and ready to go. Plus the cord tools are less expensive.
But, your dime, your choice.
