Default Free Mission Furniture plans

While I was looking for the answer to a question about something I read in a book I have on Mission Furniture I found this site on the net with free plans which appear to be almost the entire contents of the book I bought. Although the style can be a little clunky looking, some of the plans could easily be tweaked a little to make them look a little more contemporary.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Thanks for posting the site, I bookmarked it for future reference. I have been looking for plans for a mission bookcase but unfortunately there isn't one

I posted this several months ago - go to project Gutenberg and they have all 3 volumes available as a download - I have all three in PDF if you cannot find them just send me a private message and a email outside the group and I will forward a copy - Search results - Gutenberg

Good Luck - Baker

Charles..........this is great! I still have a library table and bookcase that my grandparents bought after they got married in 1901 that is remarkably similar to a couple of the designs in your link. I've looked forward to building some of the mission style things when I retired, and this is right up my alley. Thanks. Jim

That was my take on seeing the plans too, more towards inspiration than as a blueprint.

Amen! I'm not sure if I should say "you're welcome" or "I apologize".
