Default Green and white addiction!

Well guys I have bitten the bullet and joined the slippery green and white slope. I have just bought a Festool Domino for my workshop.

I know some may class it as cheating but for a small production shop I think it will be well worth the price tag. Those that know my builds will know one of these will put me into warp drive with my wood work. I am looking forward to using it in anger.

The Domino looks to be powered with Lithium Crystals..... so nice of a tool I couldn't look at the price!

Alan
I never try to justify my decisions to others how can they possible understand when I don't.
I have always told my children they can have anything the want as longs as they are not borrowing for me. So Alan let the force be with you enjoy!

LOL. I was in Woodcraft today getting DC fittings. A guy was asking about what he could use to "join" a bed post to a bed frame. I could see the "associate" struggling, so I joined in and gave him 3 methods to try... The last being using a router to cut a mortise slot for a floating tenon...

He said, "we offer something for that"... Then I noticed the Festool embroidered shirt and name tag. "Yes, your Domino" I said. He said it was for himself so he won't do it in public, just is case he messed up... All 3 of us had a laughed over that.

There goes the neighborhood........LOL (just kidding).

With the amount of commissions you are getting, Alan, any tool to help in assembly is justified. I am sure that you will be able to recoup the cost in no time flat.

I own one that I purchased used after it was used for eight joints along with the sustainer box of dominos. To embarrassed to tell you how much she let it go for... (backing away...)
It changed a lot of things in my shop! Now to find a vacuum on a give away deal.

Alan, Thanks for sharing. It is good to see someone outside of FOG recognizing the quality and value of these fine tools. The DOMINO is particularly worthy. Good builds and "high" commissions will recoup the cost in no time... Enjoy your newest helper.
