Default Positive comment on DeWalt service

Following the cataclysmic failure of my 25 year old Milwaukie compound miter saw I elected to go for a 716 DeWalt based on the positive reviews and overall price. The saw was very easy to set up requiring only minor tweaks to bring it into full square. The problem, on the 6th cut I discovered oil droplets on the cutoff piece as well as oil residue on the motor mount behind the blade. The local DeWalt service center found this quite surprising but without hesitation performed a full in-warranty service and resolved the issue in a timely manner. Time will tell of course but an initial positive outcome.

Cheers
Jon

I have to admit that over the last few years my, non-stationary, tool of choice has become Dewalt. A lightweight circular saw, several drills, sanders, hand electric planner and some other items are all perfect and the one item I did send back was replaced with a new upgrade, no charges, when a part for the other was no longer available. I'm Happy and also recommend Dewalt.
