Default Homemade fence for router table.

Hello fellow router men.

I find myself needing to build one of these, I already have a basic router table, but now I could use one that has a precise movable fence, like the one that comes with table saws.

Did anyone build one of these?.

Thanks.

Made this one. Plans can be founf in FineWoodworking's "Working with Routers", pg 101.
Guided x a pair of aluminum slides, it moves (parallel, fine-adjust) ~2.5".

There is absolutely no need for a fence that moves parallel to one edge of the router table. You can set the fence at any angle you like as long as the tip of the router bit is the correct distance from the fence. There is also no need for a mitre gauge slot. It's a router table not a table saw. The forces involved with a router bit are very different to those of a saw blade. A simple sled wit a fence at 90 degrees (or other angle if necessary) is all you need.

Pablo take a look at this video. I think it has what you want to see starting about 4 minutes into the video.

@denis yes, I figured that when using the table, thanks the same!.

@willway funny that you mention it, I followed that video to build my table

What I need to build is a groove that will be distanced from the fence about 15 cms. (~6").

Right now, it is very slow to do it because I have to repeatedly move the fence, that's why something more like a TS fence would be cool to have, but I understand it is a more complicated mechanism. Some metal work will be needed.
