Default ShopNotes is no more

Just received word that ShopNotes is no more. Due to the economy they will no longer be printing the magazine. They will keep printing the WoodSmith magazine and will incorporate some of ShopNotes into WoodSmith.
These are my two favorite magazines and I will miss ShopNotes. But bringing them together isn't a bad idea if they will incorporate ShopNotes material into WoodSmith, hopefully making it a bigger magazine. I haven't found an issue of either where there wasn't something I didn't use or plan on using (usually several). They are in the process of sending notices to subscribers - on options if you are subscribed to both. I requested they put the credit from my ShopNotes subscription to my WoodSmith subscription. So I'm set to 2016.

I haven't heard anything from them. Hate to see it end.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Bummer. ShopNotes is my favorite woodworking magazine. I haven't been notified yet but I'll opt for extending my WoodSmith subscription also. I guess trying to publish without advertising just isn't tenable in today's market.

That is sad news, they were the best. I read every issue, every page. Got a lot of good ideas from them. Bummer they will be missed.

Shame. I rarely saw it over here in the UK - in fact the last time was about 7 or so years ago - but as others have said there was ppretty nuch always something of interest in it. Woodsmith you don't see any longer either

+ 1 on the bummer! I did not buy every issue but it was a very good magazine.

Really sorry to hear that as that and Woodsmith are my favorite magazines. Unfortunately print publication is becoming a dying breed. I sure hope Woodsmith can hang in there.

Only have a few years of issues, plus some older issues from a friend. I didn't realize they have a DVD.
