Default Shop made knee bump carpet stretcher....rude and crude, but it works

I am a maintenance tech at an apartment complex. One of the units had the carpet come loose in one place, and with furniture sitting on it there was no way to pull it and get it fastened back down with what I had to work with. So I made this thing (seen in pics below) from a 2x8, some trim nails, and an unopened mop head for padding I got from work. It worked like a charm and I had it fixed in under 5 minutes! Awesome! Now I am getting huge brownie points from the bosses because I saved them money on a service call from calling carpet men in just for that.

This sure isn't fine woodworking but it did the job, and will last for several more, I'm sure. It costs me nothing but materials I already had, and also will help pad my bonus at the end of the year. We all have bonuses budgeted into the property expenses and as long as we don't go over then we will get it. Mine will easily be enough for several new large purchase shop tools.
