Default Jointing on a TS

I ran across this picture on the internet, and thought about every once in awhile there are questions about alternate ways of jointing material when a jointer is not available.

I don't think that's a URL, Herb.
Did you copy/paste from the address bar?

Thanks for the help ,guys,

It was a pinterest link and I was trying to copy and paste , instead of uploading image. Realized my mistake after reading your prompts.

That would solve the fixed depth part. My only concern would be the saw marks. one would have to use a good saw blade that leaves a smooth finish, I have a Freud that would work. But it would be a way to get a straight edge, in multiple passes.

The piece would have to be straight enough or short enough for the length of the fence not to be a factor. There is a home made sled for table saw that is usually 8' long and you clamp your board on top of it and it will allow you to cut out curved edges but all it really is is an 8' fence.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
