Question Triton Router Update

"Well, in view of past posts by myself and many others regarding the Triton Router an update is in order. I have been in touch with the new U.S.A. distributor, Carbide Processor, located in the USA (what a relief)in the State of Washington. Can't post the URL here but you can easily go to the website.

There is a salesperson there named Jo Lawson who was most helpful. She assured me that all of their Triton Routers have been manufactured with the metal Worm Gear and other updates. Also their product line of Triton Routers have been manufactured recently and within the last 6 months. With this in mind I took the plunge and now have a new, updated Triton 1400W/MOF001 21/4 hp. It arrived yesterday and already, in the unpacking, I am noticing a few subtle updates. (hint-manual cover is different). Too soon to comment but I will be using it with anxious expectation and report to this forum on my discoveries, pro and con. The Triton has unique features, as most of Router users know. So obviously, that make this new distributor a breath of fresh air for Triton Router Owners. Carbon Processors not only Routers but the website and catalog are full of products that may interest woodworkers in general, including a great selection of router bits.

However, the jury is still out and the "proof is in the pudding"? So look for further postings by me -jimbobwood in the weeks and months ahead with my impressions of the new Triton Router.
