My votes are in and I agree with Vince and all the others, a tough choice. Those not elected should at least get a forum pencil if there are any left.

A pencil?? If I had known this was a paying gig I would have tried harder...

Most of the folks here think you're kidding. My ex's father and brother are probably still voting, and they've been gone since the 80's!

It doesn't do any good though! St Tammany Parish is 70% conservative leaning...the exact opposite of Orleans Parish!

Either way, good field and the choice was hard. There is a lot of talent and knowledge there. Good luck to all.

I know LA has that reputation but it's mostly from down south that garners that well deserved reputation. We're about 20 miles from Texas and 35 miles from Arkansas, about as far from New Orleans as we can get and still be in the same state. A lot of people here refer to themselves as being in East Texas - sometimes I don't blame them!

Had a client not long ago in Texarkana (Texas side) Pretty nice country. His family shares a 160 acre parcel where they can hunt resident deer and raise some tasty beef.
