Default "What is it?" #105

Another interesting tool...... well you decide. So tell us what this is and what it is for. Be the first one and get 100 points.

The name of this tool is..... well strange. If you know the name tell us and I'll send you 25 points..... that is for the first one that tells us of course.

Ed, why is it I picture the mailman dreading delvering catalogs to your place? This looks to be a self centering guide for a router. It would be used for cutting mortises centered on a piece of stock?

No catalog sale on this..... bargin bin at a woodworking store, so cheap I just had to take it home and give it a try. "the most advanced router sub-base on the market" "permits the use of all Porter Cable template guide bushings" ....
Since the 2 nylon guide pins are so tall you can use a none plunge routers.

Now maybe the name was the down fall as I haven't seen any more of these around, "RIG-A-Mortis II" the self centering router mortise base. us patent no 4763707

OK I guess that is more then we all wanted to hear.
