Default Irwin Auger Bit Box

Hi, I came across an old wooden Irwin Auger Bit Box and I am trying to restore it. The box is 10" high, 5" deep, and 1 5/8" wide. The inside of the box has slots cut for 4 dividers. If anyone has one would you be kind enough to tell me how many bits they held and if at all possible post a picture of what the inside is suppose to look like? Thank you very much.

Sorry, not a clue. But the photos have inspired me to make a box for the auger bits I have, sure be better than them beating around in a drawer.

Theo, Hopefully someone from the world wide web will be able to help us out. I looked for advertisements but could not find any. I have seen this box twice before on the web but it looks like mine. I wrote Irwin and maybe they will answer when they have time. Later, Chris

Sure beats the canvas roll-up I inherited! Now I'm going to have to search the 'net for more pictures. Probably take me a year or two in the queue to make one!

Default Irwin Auger Bits

You can find a picture of a 13 piece set on E-bay that looks exactly like the box you have!

Default Irwin Auger Bit Box - Answer

The nice folks at Irwin (Zak) sent me an advertisement for the bit box that started this. The box I have, (HOME EDITION) holds 6 bits. Please see attachment. I would like to thank everyone who responded. Chris

Very cool. Thanks Chris. Now I like the chest version.
