I'm thinking toy box. Won't need the bed for awhile, so that'll give time to make that. Same with the rocking horse. But will be getting toys.
And I would not put a top on it for various reasons.
The younger a kid is, the harder it is to put away toys, and have to deal with a toy box top too, that's too much.
The top is bound to bop them on the head, sooner or later. Or pinch their fingers or hand.
If there are two kids, sooner or later, one kid will get the other in the box, then sit on the lid.
Better to just wait until the kid is old enough to use it as a seat/bench, then put a hinged top on it.
