Need to find out motor voltage for Delta 40-601 Scoll saw
Yep the 20 year old saw that my dad loves has an issue....
The gee whiz controller croaked. I am wanting to replace the controller with a modern PWM controller and regulated DC power supply which should last quite long and be an improvement over the 20 year old technology that Delta was using. Sure he won't have the silly digital display functional, but will have adequate power even at low speeds as a PWM will use a very brief burst of full voltage so that the motor will have the torque at lower RPM.
Anyone have one that is operating that they could hook a meter to the motor leads and tell me what full operating voltage is for the motor? I know it is 1/6 HP but can't find out much more about it. I suspect that it may be 80V at about a 2 A draw, which would land at 160 Watts which would be about right for 1/6 HP at 80% Efficiency or so.
Thanks for your time.
