Default Couple new projects.....

Heart shaped jewelry box with pivoting lid made from poplar....
( actual size is about 3.5" x 3" x 2 1/8" )
Couldn't find any thick stock poplar to save my life so I had to cut out 1/4" thick heart shapes then laminate them together and cut the inside out.

And last but not least, she told me she wanted a unicorn so .....
( also made from poplar but with a pine base. Measures about 5" x 3 3/4" x 2" )

Still have to finish sand and detail sand a little more before finishing.
Thinking about poly ?

I really like the way the heart shaped box came out. Did you make all the heart "rings" to size, glue them, then sand the glue off, or did you make them a bit big and route it down to size?
