I recieved this in my email this morning,I do not know this person ,he addressed our club.I thought I would pass it on to you guys as the topic of Set-Up Bars comes up occasionally.
Hello I have some product to offer,
Due to some events my grandfather passed away a while back. He was a professional wood worker amongst other things. He created these Brass Set-Up Bars with a wooden container just before passing. There are 105 packaged Set-Ups Bars in each box. 13 boxes. Each box weighs around 60lbs. Would love to have a few, but have no need for all of these. Most Set-Up Bars online go for 11-17 a pop without a container and 25 with. Feel free to make an appropriate offer. Willing to discuss a discount price and shipping for bulk purchases as well. Not looking to charge full price on these by any means. Attached below is some photographs.
The set that I bought many years ago from our forum's founders at a woodworking show came in a block of wood just like those. The size sequence is even the same. Could this guy be the source for their product?
I use mine frequently, and have wished that they came in a lidded box, but so far I haven't taken the time to build one for my set.
The full boxes of 105 sets is the killer. I'd be happy to take a small carton of say 10 sets. Shipping, brokerage, and duties would be the main obstacle, other than the quantities for us up here N. of 49.
Maybe Cricket could buy them up and give them away when posters reach a certain number of posts...
That means Rainman Rick gets the whole lot. hheehee
Area code is western WA, Dan so shipping might not be too bad, you might be able to drive down and pick them up.

The sad thing is that you probably wouldn't be able to resell them locally for much more than $10 a pop (about $1000 a case). If you bought them at $500-$600 a case that would be a decent return after shipping, etc, but you have to find 100 buyers locally.
Scrap price is about $1.60/lb right now, so a box would net you $75 or so.
That being said, it would be nice to have a few sets around the shop, so I don't have to keep carrying the ones I already have from the table saw to the router table....
I did a quick check search on shipping and estimating the weight of one unit,6#, the USPS rate from here to East Coast, is approx $7.20 in a flat rate box. UPS is around $22. These were just guesses not knowing what city to what city.

The 6 bar set I purchased from Rockler comes in a plastic box. Don’t recall what I paid as it was a long time back and there was a sale on at the time. Current catalog price for the set is 28$. The larger set with 11 bars is 70$.
Rockler and Kreg sell setup bars but not at the price. I'm new to all this, so I would have need of maybe one set. A single set is probably not worth the time or money to mess with.
Good luck...
