Default WANTED: LEIGH Dovetail Jig, 12--16--18 inch if possible

Hi, I'm looking for a LEIGH Dovetail Jig, I may take a 24" but don't know if I have room, may prefer something smaller like a D1258R-12, Super12, Super18, D1600, etc. Prefer something that doesn't need much. Please let me know what ya's got.

Thanks.

Have you looked at the D3R and D4R jigs...
I had the 12 and up graded to the 24 and never regretted it....
such large gains w/ so little effort....

I second the recommendation to go for the 24 inch. I mounted mine to a an appropriately sized piece of plywood as per instructions. I clamp it down to my bench when in use, and a hole in one end allows it to hang vertically on the wall for storage. Good luck in your search, but you can't have mine! I'm hooked!

Thanks Stick. I passed up a spotless, like-new D1258R-12 that also came with a set of the new style cam clamps for ~$100 for everything... the 24" I don't think I have that much room for it. I'd have to build another workbench or take it outside!

I looked at the pdf charts, but is there much difference between the D4/D4R series and the Super series, in actual use? I'd probably just be using it for half-blind and single-pass half-blind dovetails.

That's a 9 month old post Ed but he might still be looking and if not then post it on our classifieds. Someone should be interested.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
