I am looking at the Trend T-3 plunge trim router for light sign making and inlay work. I was wondering if anyone has this router and what they think of it? Is it worth getting? Will standard bushings and bits work with it?

Thanks for any advice you can offer on it.

hi Bob,

as a totally inexperienced person, is the trend something youre thinking of ordering? ive seen talk of it on the forum, but thought it was a product from Canada? where can you get one?

Bob,

Didn't you have a Bosch Colt? I have no experience with the Trend.

Hi Bob

Do you mean T4 ?

Trend T4 Variable Speed 1.1 hp Plunge Router

I don't have one but a buddy has one and he likes it, guides with a adapter ..

He said it's like a Dremel on steroids, a bit low on power on the bottom end..the plunge jams now and then..:) but other wise he likes it..

by the way when you put this one up for sale at a great price like the Colt let me know 1st. :)

Well..... I Googled plunge trim router and this is one of the sites I looked at just to see what was out there.

Trend T3 Trim Router

Was not even aware of a T-4, but I will certainly research it further. Yep.. I did let the Colt go this past week at a good price, it was just not what I wanted for my small unit as you can see from this post. Thougt I might re-invest the funds into a router more suited to what I am wanting to make.

Hey BJ.... the early bird got the worm  Next time (if there ever is one again) I will give you advanced notice :)

Thanks for the help guys.
