There are far too many options to list.

Do you want to replace the motors?
Is the machine stepper or servo powered?
If servo, do they accept step/dir signals?

If you just need to replace the control, there are several inexpensive options.
UCCNC
Mach4
LinuxCNC
and several others.
If you can do it yourself, it should be between $500-$1000, but you can do it even cheaper if you really need to.

 

My unit has stepper motors. I want to be able to change from the old dos system to a windows based system. As you can tell, I am not computer literate. Need a better way to communicate with router controller. I guess I am looking for a complete communications/control system to operate router.

 

Then it's really a pretty simple retrofit with any of the examples I mentioned. You just need top rewire the stepper drives to the new controller.

 

I have converted a 6014 ATC to Linux. It’s working good except for the ATC. I’m going to need help with it.

Hi, I'd start with deciding what software you want to use. That will define what type of computer, and interfaces you will need. Then look at compatible control cards, motor amplifiers, and all the auxiliary input/ outputs you will require...
