What am I missing here ?

 

Not sure what happened to my first post.
I was asking for input on Craigslist router. Craftsman 315.174700, a craftsman table with wing extensions, a new Craftsman 'sign routing kit' and 'some router bits', package deal for $150.
Ijust bought my first router the other day and dont even have bits for ut yet, but was thinking that one could go in the table and one could be kept for benchtop use.

 

Not being in America I can't tell you whether it's a bargain or not, but what I can tell you with confidence is that the ideal situation is a router permanently in the table and a nice BIG PLUNGE router for hand held work. (preferably both routers should be powerful PLUNGE ones).

The deal really depends on the condition of the items. Are they local enough for you to view them.

I've passed on the deal, he's local, but I really don't need a table as I just mounted my PC in the table saw stand (keep reminding myself that we'll be moving again, sooner than I'd like), the bits are (from what I can see) cheap 1/4" shank, and the router is a little underpowered for the price.
I'll keep an eye out for a bargain priced 2+ hp plunge unit to keep for free-hand.
