That aside, welcome to the router forums. It will be interesting to see the results of a high speed lathe with a high speed router. ;-)

 

Hi Larry, welcome to the forum. I m new here also. May I ask your opinion on the Freud routers for reliability especially the Freud FT3000VCE 3-1/4 HP Variable Speed Plunge Router.

Richard, The Freud FT3000VCE has been a very dependable router for many years. There are no inherent problems. It has great power and all the features any other brand plus ht. adjustment through the base when mounted to a table and spindle lock so onyl 1 wrench is required to change the bit. Check out the internet especially Woodcraft for some great deals going on at this time.

Hi all,

How (and how well) does dust collection work on the FT3000VCE? The only reference I found to dust collection is in a parts breakdown diagram.
