I have an older Magna router table that I purchased years ago at one of those warehouse stores. At the time I had a older Skil router that I used with it. I have since given that to my son and have purchased a Bosch router with an additional component to attach to the table. It is a Bosch part model number RA1165. Anyway I would like to mount it Magna mounting plate but I need a template to drill the holes in the right place. Any ideas or places where I might be able to obtain a template for this?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Get some screws the size of your base plate mounting screws. Cut the heads off and put them n the drill press or hand drill. File a sharp point on them.
Now, screw them into the base of the router with the points sticking out the bottom. Align the router to center using a guide bushing and centering tool. When it's centered, tap over the screws with a hammer to put dimples in the plate. That's where you drill the mounting holes.

Hi,

The Bosch sub plate is your template. Just secure it and use your sub plate to drill out the mounting holes.
