Here's a pass word that will get you 10% off the price ( 1234 )
I will say you don't want to start playing under the hood, you will void any warr. you have on the machine, I would suggest you take it to one of the many PC service center outlets, many of the 891/892 had errors and if the part is defective they will replace it at no charge but not if you rewired it 1st.
bobj3, thanks for the link. I didn't have the money to buy a replacement part and now I have dedicated it to my router table. Purchased a router speed control from Harbor Freight and been using it for about a year with no problems.
It's variable , you could almost call it soft start, I use it in that mode when I'm not to sure about the stock I'm going to run and then run up the speed on the box.
From 0 to Max or by pass the box if I need to.
I found this thread when I did a search for Harbor Freight speed control, so I thought it would be a good place to post the question. When I saw it was posted in the Porter Cable forum I deleted it because I noticed it said do not post any question in this forum.
Rules, rules, rules hahahahahahaha they are made to be broken, 70 miles per hour, how many people drive 70 ..when I am driving 70 I get a horn now and than..I must get my truck fix but it can only go 80 on the speeder meter..
