I had that combinatioin, and the plate was smaller than my current plate. I didn't like the lift, I adjusted it again and again and it still slipped. Sold it for practically nothing. Went with a Triton TRA001 instead. Cost was less than a separate lift and I got a really powerful router with pretty darn good dust collection. I still have the old plate, but I popped for a Woodpecker plate with the twist lock inserts. I suggest you consider that option instead of the separate lift, I think you will really enjoy the power and integrated lift built in. You even get a little crank to adjust it from the top. I had to enlarge the opening in the table for the Woodpecker plate, but it took 10 minutes with a mortising bit.and four sticks set as a template like this. Put a playing card between template and mounting plate to give a bit of wiggle room.

Whatever brand plate you get, and there are many, make sure it has the bayonet or twist lock inserts, not the type with tiny screws that get lost immediately.

The plate that came on the table won't fit the Triton router. I've located a Triton TRA001 but it's a tank of gas away from me. (that's how I think on prices these days). The asking price isn't bad but tack on another $100 in gas and it becomes too expensive. I may end up just drilling out the plate I have to fit the DeWalt 618 and use it as it is for now until something else comes along.

The plate that came with the table has the screw in type inserts, and of course they were missing. But I have tons of 6/32s that work.

 

Rockler is the major user of the 8 1/4 x 11 3/4 plate size, most other manufactured router tables use the 9 1/4 x 11 3/4 size plates. Rockler should offer the correct size lifts for their tables. If not, jessum and others offer the Rockler sized plate as an option. Might be easier ordering the correct size lift than remaking the top.

 

Rockler carries an Incra lift that fits the Rockler plate size. The lift fits just about every 2 1/4 to 3 1/4 hp motors that can be detached from their fixed base, and the lift can be locked once you've set your desired height, and it does not slip.

 

Rockler sells 2 sizes of their Rockler branded lift table. I dealt with this last spring when I bought a table saw extension/router table and a lift/insert as well. I installed the table saw extension on my table saw (drilling holes in it to bolt to the table saw arms). When it came time to install the lift, it would not fit. Rockler took back the lift and sent me the correct one, so all turned out well.

Rockler has 4 different router plates drilled for different models/manufacturers of routers. The triton takes router plate “C”.

if you go with a lift you use just the motor so no concern of bolt patterns.
