Well done John, I hope they are going to pay you well, you deserve it. I hope your health is improving.

HI, John. I can't say enough about your work. It's good to see you finally being recognized worldwide for your talents and perseverence. I think we'll be seeing your work in many more magazines, once the others see what you've done. You're a world class woodworker extraordinaire!!!!

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone , I haven,t had much time for woodworking in the past 3 or 4 months but i have had some great things happen in that time .

Back in late September i had the best news i could have in the last 20 years .
Twenty one years ago i had a beautiful daughter( Stefany) after my first marriage , she was born in Sherbrooke Quebec . Then a year after she turned one i lost contact with her due to her mother . Then in late September of this year i got a email from my daughter on a site called Face book . Finally after 20 years she had found me .
I can,t describe how excited i was and still am . It has been tough to do much of anything since then . I went to Quebec last month to finally see her after 20 years . All i ever had was a video that i took of her when she was 1 yrs old . I took that with me when i went there and she loved it . She must of watched it 20 times while i was there .
She will be coming to see me in the spring so it will be nice to spend some more time with her .
Around that same time i finally had my workers comp case settled and they ended up back paying me for 3 years so i decided to buy a truck and a few other goodies , New 4' x 8' sign for my business . I am now driving again after 7 long years . It wasn,t easy living in the country all this time without wheels but i did it .

Now things are really beginning to pick up with several articles that came out recently and now i am doing a show for the discovery channel . I am extremely excited .
This is by far the best year i have ever had and it is nice that i am able to share it with all my friends here . Thank you everyone for listening . :D

Congrats John on the reunion. Glad to see things are finally working out for you. I agree, she is a beautiful looking young lady. As for the sign. Great looking sign. I hope it brings you all the business you can handle. So, let me wish you a very prosperous new year.

Hi John,

I'm glad to hear things are looking on the up for you. Always good to hear about family reunions. I can't add too much more to what Dave said, other than, "ditto". :)

Cheers my friend. :) :)

John greetings from a new guy on this forum, just joined this month. I was looking over some of your post s's and feel I got to know you just a little. I just settled a Workman's comp case myself, I wish they paid for pain and suffering here in Georgia but they do not. 10/11/06 I fell on a job site and tore up my left rotator cuff, well a total of 9 surgeries and one year of fighting an infection in it I am "Well". The left shoulder has no strength in it and lets me know when the weather will change, but I am as well as I ever will be with that shoulder.

I look back at these past 2 years, and I have learned so much in the Lord, well I would not change anything except maybe learn a little faster. I did not find the part regarding what the injury was, but I am glad you are over it, and especially glad you and your daughter are united again, she is a very lovely young lady.

Some of these forums unite people in more way than just the love of some activity and this one seems to be that kind of place. Your Bird houses are something to see, and the shed, well looks like someone could live there. Have a blessed New Year and I hope to be seeing more of your work in the future.

A new friend from Georgia
Jerry

Hi Jerry it,s nice to meet you . Thank you for the very nice comments. I am sorry to hear about your pain .
Most of my pain is upper body , neck , arms and shoulders . Now my lower back and legs ache a lot. I guess the best thing for me is to try and stay busy .
Today i am dealing a flooded basement and no hydro .:(

Thank you ken for comments ;)

It is a privilege to know you and to see your work. The shoulder is enough for me, I am sorry for your pain, but you maintain a good outlook on life. I used to tell the doctors and nurses when they commented on my positive attitude with no anger at anyone for the situation, "I hate to see a grown man cry, especially when it is me". The Lord mostly and humor has gotten me though so far and I see nothing changing on those two fronts.

Hi John,

It's awesome that your 'ship' is finally arriving. All good things come to the man who has patience. You've had a boatload full of that commodity so you've reaped the rewards of a patient and busy man. Through being busy, you have perfected your skill and that will always reap a reward (not necessarily financial) but in this case, I think that's coming too.

It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I wish for you the happiest and best new year ever.

BTW, your daughter appears very nice and congratulations upon you finding each other again.

Ed......:)

They were here from 9 am - 6 pm filming ,the show will be on in 3 - 4 months so i will post a link to it once it airs . It was about - 13 all day so it wasn,t too nice being outside all day .
I still have the Birds and Blooms article coming out in the spring too.

I was surprised too that they came this time of year . They arrived in Canada with no winter clothes . I am actually happy they did it now because i am moving away from Cranbrook in the spring sometime .The house i live in was built in 1854 and it is a mess. It is getting torn down in the summer. I am hoping to buy a house in the next few months . :sold:

Hey John. Can I have your autograph? You is famous now. You is a celeb. Glad for you John.

It's wonderful to see it all coming together John, and so richly deserved. Good luck in your house hunting, I hope it will be in warmer climes!
